Born in Kuala Lumpur, raised in Borneo, Petaling Jaya, Isaac Entry's music is a global tale of local stories. At the age of 10, he had managed to convince his parents to buy him his first guitar and went on to show an interest in other instruments; teaching himself to play both the bass and drums.

After several years of performing with various groups in Australia, he decided it was time to embark on his personal musical walkabout (the Iban or Borneo natives term this as the 'Bejalai'). Isaac traveled across South East Asia and Western Europe with just a backpack and his guitar before returning to Kuala Lumpur to call it home. Drawing heavily on the traditions of folk and roots music, he has crafted a sound and sense of songwriting that is distinctly his.

Soon after, he was offered a regular spot at No Black Tie - Kuala Lumpur’s premier jazz club & gastro-bar that has seen the likes of stellar Malaysian and international jazz, classical, blues, folk and spoken word acts. He has since released a "Live at No Black Tie" Album. Isaac Entry will be performing for one night only on 9 January 2011 at Timbre @ The Substation.

This collaborative effort between Timbre Music & Malaysia’s No Black Tie is the first of many synergies to build and bridge a network of Asia’s most respected and talented musicians.
